It allows us to connect with fellow writers and receive support that isn't readily forthcoming in our everyday lives. We learn from the newbies and the pros. Why? It helps us to learn, grow, and share in ways we might never have otherwise. And, though it might not necessarily be the reason we do it, agents/editors do look at potential clients' blogs.
